Thorngate, Ltd.
- Thorngate has enjoyed a rich heritage in the Cape
Girardeau area for a quarter of a century. Our future looks
optimistic, as we continue to add new technology, product lines and
most importantly, new employees. We currently employ about
500, of which over 50% have greater than 10 years of service.
Our facility is considered, within the Hartmarx
Corporation, to be one of the most innovative and efficient plants
nationally, and our employees the most quality-conscious. Those
ingredients are the foundation that make Thorngate a leader in the
men's tailored clothing industry. The Cape Girardeau Chamber of
Commerce recognized this commitment to excellence when Thorngate was
awarded the "Industry of the Year" in 1996.
Employee safety has always been a high
priority. Thorngate received from the state of Missouri a
special recognition for our Workers' Safety Program in 1993.
